Everyone has his/her own stories; and every story is unique.

For this oral history project, we have collected stories from a number of the British Chinese in the U.K., in order to show you different lives in different ways. With limited project lifetime, we regret that we are not able to cover all the careers aspect.

The British Chinese have contributed a lot to the British society in the past years and continue to do so; British Chinese started their life here as foreign labour workforce and it was part of the British history. Recognition is needed.

History is a record about the past. We are the one creating our own history, which belongs to the present; and we look forward to seeing the new / future generation to create their own.

Note:
The project follows regulation of the oral history archive, all the transcriptions were recorded according to the audio records, they were verbal literature and not academic writings.
